Author

My retirement from Radio-Canada allowed me to begin realizing a dream that I had cherished for a long time. Writing is a gift of self, an act of courage and effort. In today's world, I believe that we must actively participate in the fight against disinformation and produce quality information that enlightens and educates the reader. I attempted to express my passion for our current understanding of the human brain which sheds new light on human nature and our complex social interactions...

Musician

Pianist, improviser and composer. At the age of 15, I discovered the American pianist Keith Jarrett who would have a profound influence on my inspiration and my musical direction. It was then a self-taught passion that took off late in life. Encouraged by sound editor and musician Guy Pelletier, I began my first recordings at the dawn of his 50th birthday. In a style inspired by Debussy, Ravel and Jarrett, my improvisations are unique musical journeys.

Journalist

A long career that spans around forty years. A passion that gave meaning to my life. Having the privilege of informing the population about the news and issues of our society has been a joy and a great source of satisfaction for me. I mainly worked in television for thirty years at Radio-Canada. When I started my career in Ottawa, I realized that my training as a physiologist was tailor-made to cover scientific news in this national capital which is full of research laboratories. It was the beginning of a journey that took me into the fascinating world of science.

Professor

Between 2017 and 2022, I taught the television journalism course at the Media School of the University of Quebec in Montreal. An important project for me because I sincerely believe that we must train and prepare the next generation of journalists in Quebec. The current difficult context of the media industry, disinformation and fake news are major challenges for the new generation. I therefore humbly try to pass on to my students the forty years of experience to, I hope, equip them to be better prepared to become competent journalists.

Speaker and Presenter

As a facilitator or speaker, I practice this form of communication with great enthusiasm. Whether for the general public, academics or journalists, I have hosted more than a hundred events over the years. Whether through scientific conferences or congresses, scientific cafés, citizen juries of social or political summits, I try to be a transmitter of ideas, a mediator and a catalyst for consensus.
